Prior to joining the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office staff in October, Rebecca ran her own architectural firm specializes in preservation, building rehabilitation & sustainable design. She is a registered architect with over thirty years of professional experience. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Kansas, and a Master of Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University. She has served on Historic Preservation Commissions in Georgia and Missouri. She served on the Old Town Cape Design Committee, was a founding member of Uptown Jackson (Main Street) and served on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Preservation prior to moving to Jefferson City. Rebecca was designated a Fellow of the James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation for Historic Preservation with the receipt of the 2014 Richard L. Blinder Award.
