Architectural historian in the Technical Preservation Services Branch of the National Park Service for the past twenty years. He reviews rehabilitation projects seeking certification for federal rehabilitation tax credits, including all those from Missouri and provides assistance to the users of the program and the general public on technical aspects of preservation. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in architecture, his experience ranges from working as a carpenter to serving as the architectural coordinator for the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Not getting enough of historic buildings at work he serves on the board of the DC Preservation League, Washington’s nonprofit advocate for preservation and is on the board of the Latrobe Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians.
