Dana is a historic preservation architect and project manager with Treanor Architects. She has dedicated her twenty-year career to the preservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings. Recognizing the cultural significance historic buildings represent within their communities, Dana works with property owners to preserve their building’s historic integrity while creating functional spaces for contemporary and future generations. She takes the time to understand each property she works on, delving into the history, significance and construction of the building before developing comprehensive solutions that respect its sense of place and history. Dana is a registered architect in Missouri and is actively involved in relevant architecture and historic preservation organizations. She currently serves as the chair of the Association for Preservation Technology Central Plains’ board of directors. She also served on the APT KC 2015 local conference committee to plan and manage the national conference last fall in Kansas City. Last year, she completed a three week consultation with the World Monuments Fund to document the existing conditions of two meru towers at Wat Chaiwatthanaram located in Ayutthaya, Thailand. The Buddhist temple was constructed in 1630 in the Khmer style. Dana’s work was accomplished in collaboration with the Thailand Ministry of Culture’s Fine Arts Department.
